KORRES Lip Butter Glaze in Wild Rose

KORRES, the Greek brand that is quickly become a strong presence in the cosmetics industry, may or may not be capable of reading minds; I’ve been wanting a lip product that can supply colour like a lipstick yet feel as emollient and look as shiny as a gloss — turns out that KORRES has exactly what I’ve been searching for, in the form of their Lip Butter Glaze. Wonder what other thoughts they picked up on?!

Lip Butter Glaze in Wild Rose – (CAD 18.50 10 ml/0.34 fl. oz) is a rich rose-red and glossy lip gloss/balm in a semi-opaque formula that is filled with nourishing and beneficial ingredients, literally seeming to glide across the lips in application. The convenient squeeze tube packaging and slanted application tip, makes this perfect for carrying with you and on-the-go touch-ups. The first thing I noticed was the scent – a yummy vanilla, buttery mix – but that seemed to fade fairly quickly. This ‘Wild Rose’ shade is a vibrant pop of colour, yet it can also look more pink if applied with a lighter hand, as well as packing some major “oomph” if layered on a little thicker. Lasting power was a surprise as well, going easily past the 3 hour mark before it faded significantly away, leaving my lips feeling plumply soft & quite hydrated.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Synthetic Fragrances
– Petrochemicals
– Phthalates
– GMOs
– Triclosan

Final thoughts: The Canadian climate can frequently be unforgiving … especially in the winter, where indoor heating and frigid, windy outside temperatures can really give your skin and/or lips a beating. Many products designed to give that moisture back to your lips, appear to do so only superficially – then it’s back to square one again, but KORRES Lip Butter Glaze actually seems to take things a step further by helping your lips lock in that moisture long after the colour fades. Sold exclusive through Sephora, and available in 6 delectable shades, KORRES’ Lip Butter Glaze is the perfect product for the holidays (and beyond) … what with all the celebrating/kissing you’ll probably be indulging in!

  1. I have the potted version but I’ve been dying to try these Lip Glazes for a while now! especially in the Quince version!! So pretty!

  2. SO PRETTY!!! Love this shade on you Big Sis! I had a set of these a couple of years ago when they first came out and LOVED them I should get some more!

This looks like it might be useful for me. Dry lips are a constant problem even in the summer, so I tend to avoid lipsticks and coloured glosses and stick to the trusty Chapstick. Even despite my grandmother’s advice that a lady should never leave the house without some lipstick on. But I’ll check this out! The lipstick looks interesting as well. I noticed that Shoppers was carrying some Korres products, but it didn’t seem that they had any makeup items, at least not the one by my house. Oh well, an excuse to go to Sephora I guess. 😉

Your grandmother sounds like a woman after my own heart, lol! I see nothing wrong with making an effort to look your best; makes you feel good and others happy around you, win-win! As to the KORRES line, I’ve seen some Shoppers carrying the skin care range, but not sure if I’ve seen the cosmetics there; so yeah…perfect excuse for a Sephora spree!!

  4. I love the colour of Wild Rose! While I like the lip butter texture for winter, the shades I have are rather summery. I think there is one berry shade that I should be wearing now though… thanks for the post and reminder!

The colour looks really pretty. I didn’t have luck with the lip butters (to drying for me for some reason). I really want to try those though, maybe they will work better on me.

I didn’t have luck with the lip butters that used to come in the little pots – they were too drying on me too; these, however, are a huge improvement! I’m dying to see how the other shades look on me!

I need to try these – I have used this brand in the pots but like many know pots are messy – I would like this shade in the tube – looks like it might have more color to it than this same shade does in the pot that I have it in.

    • Eugenia says:

I had one of the original little pots as well, and first of all, I didn’t like the mess factor or having the product get under my nails, and I found the original formula quite drying; these have definitely been reformulated, cause I have zero issues with this one. Do check them out, if you get a chance!

What are your thoughts, beautiful?
