Without a doubt, CHANEL’s Les Beiges is the collection I wait for all year round and have done so since its inception. The fact that it seems to launch around my birthday just makes it sweeter (coincidence?!). Something about the sleek beige packaging coupled with the whole summery vibe just speaks to me, and the 2020 iteration is no exception to that.
ommorphia turns 2 … a birthday milestone!
Two years ago today, I sat down to write my very first entry for my blog, and with my stomach tied up in knots, I hit the “publish” button. More than 450 posts later, my gut still clenches with anticipation when it comes time to publish, but I wouldn’t have it any other way — that anxiety lets me know that I still care about the work I put out there and haven’t let any complacency settle in.

Beauty & The Beef or my birthday in pictures …
For my birthday dinner last week, my family treated me to a day of pampering, TLC, and the juiciest, most humongous burger I’ve ever had the pleasure of diving into, at ‘La Belle & La Boeuf Burger Bar’ – a super-friendly, low-key, and totally nostalgic-feeling burger joint. The name of this restaurant actually translates to “beauty and the beef” – how perfectly appropriate for me, non?!
I wish to give full credit to my exceptionally talented daughter for taking all these amazing photos! Enjoy this [visual] feast!

If you’re in the Laval area, then I highly recommend you make it a point to stop by La Belle & Boeuf – believe me, this is burger nirvana! With a large & eclectic selection of burgers to choose from with some exotic & unique toppings (fig gelée, Roquefort cheese), they even offer a vegetarian version and a chance to have your picture on their wall of fame IF you manage to finish their monster burger! I ended up going for the ‘Mushroom’ and still couldn’t finish it!

My little girl is 18 today! “Happy Birthday” !
18 Years ago today, my husband was racing us to the hospital — approximately 8 hours & many incredibly funny and embarrassing stories later, our precious little bundle of joy was born! Sound the trumpets, beat the drums!
Having a daughter means that there will always be some kind of spoiling going on around here (mommy’s living Barbie doll and daddy’s little princess), but she has grown up to be this totally amazing young woman with her own unique style, humour, talent, wisdom & heart … not to mention being absolutely STUNNING! And so funny – did I mention her killer wit?! More than that, I can now borrow stuff from her!
