For CHANEL’s recent Fall/Winter 2020-2021 Ready-To-Wear show, Paris’ historic Grand Palais (aka: the brand’s go-to venue), was transformed into a representation of the River Seine. With undulating curves and a sinuous catwalk polished to mimic crystal clear water, the looks presented fit a nautical theme via swashbuckling influences, thanks to ruffles a-plenty and gleaming admiral buttons — but what truly captured me, was the makeup. I’ve probably said a billion times before how “wearable” a particular look might be, but this one truly tops them all.(more…)
For her first solo CHANEL Haute Couture debut held this past July 2nd, Virginie Viard paid a breathtaking tribute to the House’s legacy, literally transforming the Grand Palais into a blown up rendition of Mademoiselle’s personal library. Dior · Backstage Airflash Spray Foundation, Radiance Mist, Buffing Brush & Diorshow All-Day Brow Ink
Today’s post focuses on several new launches from Dior, along with an industry standard — the foundation — that for some inexplicable reason, I hadn’t tried … until now. Don’t get me wrong; I was not only aware of the love makeup artists & consumers have for this product, but I happen to already own several shades as well, so when the matching new setting spray and brush came in, I was fired up to give everything a go. Adding to the common thread of long-lasting makeup, these new Dior brow products seemed to fit right in … and thus, a post is born.
From the brand that has cornered the market on colour diversity, comes a new foundation: Matte Velvet Skin, available in 40 shades and a variety of undertones (in other words, you’re sure to find your match) in a revolutionary new matte finish that works with your skin to never leave you feeling — or looking — flat. Hallelujah.
