NARS · Holiday 2018 Collection

Bands have been steadily releasing their holiday offerings, and I have a selection from NARS to show you today. Of course, François Nars always manages to add his own unique stamp on things, and this year’s grouping is no different. Drawing inspiration from 70s iconic punk fashion (hence the safety pins & studs), the shades of the Holiday 2018 Collection are all surprisingly wearable and relevant … with a bit of irreverence peeking through via the names, naturally.

Dior · Midnight Wish Collection, Holiday 2018

Inspired by one’s “lucky star”, Dior’s Midnight Wish Holiday 2018 Collection (all limited edition) is a makeup lover’s delight. With holiday-themed shades to go with the intricately wrought designs — not to mention the most display-worthy packaging (seriously; just look at those nail polish bottles), everything shown would definitely be a hit gift … just make sure to grab a few items for yourself while you’re at it.

Ciaté · Glitter Storm Eyeshadow Palette

In time for the holiday season, Ciaté London has recently released the Glitter Storm Eyeshadow Palette, and I don’t know about you, but I’m a total sucker for anything with a snow globe effect. It doesn’t hurt that the nine hues of this palette are also sitting firmly in my wheelhouse, or that they wear so well either.

CHANEL N°5 Red Edition, Eau de Parfum

“What colour could be combined with the power of N°5, the symbol of a visionary spirit? RED, the colour of life, the colour of blood” — Gabrielle Chanel

The year was 1921, and Mademoiselle Chanel commissioned Ernest Beaux to create a fragrance for society’s emerging modern woman; upon the fifth formula attempt, N°5, that iconic elixir, was born (hence the name). For 2018, this legendary bottle has been given a fiery new look: Red Edition  vibrant, pulsatingly beautiful, and certain to become a collector piece. I almost feel like placing it under glass with an elaborate security system around it …

Urban Decay · Elements Eyeshadow Palette

Inspired by core elements Air, Earth, Fire and Water, Urban Decay recently released the Elements Eyeshadow Palette, a grouping of never-before-seen shades from the brand, housed in an oversized round compact case that was very likely influenced by the cosmos itself. Out of this world, indeed … and oh-so worthy of investing in.
