Dior · Backstage Airflash Spray Foundation, Radiance Mist, Buffing Brush & Diorshow All-Day Brow Ink
Today’s post focuses on several new launches from Dior, along with an industry standard — the foundation — that for some inexplicable reason, I hadn’t tried … until now. Don’t get me wrong; I was not only aware of the love makeup artists & consumers have for this product, but I happen to already own several shades as well, so when the matching new setting spray and brush came in, I was fired up to give everything a go. Adding to the common thread of long-lasting makeup, these new Dior brow products seemed to fit right in … and thus, a post is born.
From the brand that has cornered the market on colour diversity, comes a new foundation: Matte Velvet Skin, available in 40 shades and a variety of undertones (in other words, you’re sure to find your match) in a revolutionary new matte finish that works with your skin to never leave you feeling — or looking — flat. Hallelujah.
There are days when I wrestle with what I want to talk about, and other times it just comes so easy; today’s post falls in the later category. Several weeks ago when this Clarisonic Mia Fit arrived, I immediately jumped all over the Foundation Brush attachment and couldn’t wait to try it and see what all the fuss was about. And because I’m a skincare fiend, I was chomping at the bit to take everything right off by using the included Cleansing Brush. So basically, I spent a few days going back & forth like that and while this was done in the name of proper testing, I confess to having had way too much fun in the process.
Canadian brand NUDESTIX is basically the adult version of Crayola makeup — and with the same level of fun, I might add. Founders Taylor & Ally Frankel (supported by Jenny, their brilliant mom & creator behind MAC’s Lipglass formula) are two young women who have a pretty good handle on what people want out of their makeup and have created this easy goal: how to simplify one’s beauty routine. Take this “no-makeup makeup box” I received a few weeks ago for example; no tools or assembly required, with the possible exception of mascara. Done & done.
Several weeks ago I was invited to a “back to school” Guerlain media preview to discover several of the brand’s upcoming releases, and today’s post focuses on the newly launched foundations from the Lingerie de Peau lineup, Aqua Nude and Cushion. Both come in formulas that I personally prefer, I might add — but a hunch tells me that they’ll be finding favour with many others as well. Let’s just say that class was NEVER more fun!
