CHANEL · Rouge Allure Velvet (2023)
Originally launched in 2011 as a bridge between a matte & luminous finish, Rouge Allure Velvet has been reinvented in 2023 with twenty shades encompassing the red spectrum. In fact, the colour red has great significance for the House, as this was the shade Gabrielle Chanel believed expressed the true power of a woman. Personally, nothing says “I’m owning it” quite as effectively as a red lipstick, wouldn’t you agree?
Clé de Peau · New Lipsticks
Luxury beauty brand Clé de Peau recently launched some new lipsticks in several formulas, and I received some to test out. As a lifelong lip gloss girl, I confess to now reaching more for lipstick — especially since mask mandates lifted. I guess that’s my way of celebrating!
NARS · Holiday 2022 Collection
The star-studded NARS Holiday 2022 Collection has launched and it’s gorgeous. From the packaging, to the shades — and including all the gift sets, François Nars has once again shown why he’s the absolute master of colour. The only downside is that it’s all limited edition. Sigh
NARS · Powermatte Lipstick
Fall and lipstick wearing somehow just go together (at least, to me), and when several shades of the new Powermatte Lipsticks from NARS recently arrived for me to test & play with, I was intrigued. Would this formula finally be the one to win me over to the matte side?
