CHANEL’s first mindful skincare range has Mademoiselle’s beloved camellia flower at its core — in this case, the red camellia, to be exact. Employing eco-conscious principles, the products are made with significantly less packaging materials and 100% natural processes are used in their creation. Lancôme · Absolue The Serum & Rich Cream

 

Apart from the quality of materials used, something that impresses me about luxury skincare is the amount of solid R&D behind each formulation. And while the fancy packaging may be lovely, I’m more interested in the main event: performance. Over the years I’ve tried a few products from Lancôme’s Absolue range and I’ve been always wowed, so when I attended a virtual skincare seminar on The Serum, the brand’s latest from the range, and which also happens to be the perfect companion to the Rich Cream, I couldn’t wait to try both out. Then there’s the divine rose fragrance …

Pixi · On-The-Go Blush Tinted Moisture Stick

 

 

Even though these launched several weeks ago, lately I’ve been having an absolute moment with Pixi’s On-The-Glow Blushes. Yes, they do look like deodorant sticks (but please don’t apply them to your pits), which is what makes them fun/funny — but it’s what they deliver that truly impresses me.

CHANEL Cruise 2021/22 Collection · Backstage Beauty

 

 

This past May 3rd, CHANEL presented its Cruise 2021-2022 Collection, with Virginie Viard once again turning to Gabrielle Chanel’s personal archives for inspiration. Held at Carrières de Lumières in Les Baux-de-Provence (South of France), this former quarry with its towering stone-cut walls, instantly calls to mind ancient Egyptian structures (no? just me?). So totally unique and absolutely impressive … and now I absolutely want to go there.
