To be perfectly clear, I’m actually not a fan of gift sets; for one, I’m a control freak and prefer curating my own ‘sets’ and secondly, I’ve always found that apart from one or two items, the rest of the pieces in a gift set are usually just ‘fillers‘. That said, these Fresh Gift Sets are making me rethink my stance. Why, you might ask? Well, because each and every single one is filled with a really fab selection. Oh, and how stinking cute is this year’s Holiday 2018 packaging? There’s even a gift tag included!
Facial On The Fly (CAN $31.00/Value of $43.00) | All the sift sets that I received (with the exception of Mask For Miles) all contain the Soy Fresh Cleanser — which also happens to be the cleanser I’m currently using and can’t say enough good things about (considering the fact that I was fairly recently turned on to this product, I’m actually on my second tube of the stuff; that speaks volumes). This set also contains mini versions of both the Rose Face Mask and Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream, each being one of Fresh’s best-sellers for a good reason: they work wonders on the skin. Apart from being a nice introduction to the brand, this is a great little weekend travel set.
Nonstop Radiance (CAN $76.00/Value of $108.00) | This set’s claim to fame is a focus on skin brightening and to the that end, it includes the Soy Face Cleanser to start things off on the right note. It also has a full-sized jar of the Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream (which is CAN $56.00 on its own), and a mini Lotus Youth Preserve Mask, with both products containing Lotus Flower Extract as the star ingredient (which has tons of positive attributes, such as brightening, softening fine lines, as well as antioxidant properties). Rounding things off is a mini Vitamin Nectar Glow Water, a face mist that can be used as a primer, setting spray, or whenever you want to give your skin a little jolt of freshness/brightness — also perfect to tuck into your makeup bag for on-the-go use (think: perking up your skin post-work & pre-party).
Please note that while this set is currently not appearing on Sephora’s website, but may still be available in store.
Roundtrip Ritual (CAN $82.00/Value of $116.00) | I like to think of this set as not only a great way to become acquainted with some of this brand’s best-selling products, but also as a complete skincare ritual. After cleansing with the Soy Face Cleanser, you have a generously sized mini of the Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream for use during the day, and the Rose Face Mask for nighttime to help give your skin an added boost of hydration (this product is also available in a larger 100 ml size), which, by the way, smells like a bouquet of fresh-cut roses — divine! Your eyes & lips are taken care of as well, with a mini of the Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate (contains a proprietary black tea complex which helps with de-puffing and maintaining the delicate skin around eyes), along with a mini Sugar Lip Treatment, a cult-fave product and one of my fave lip balms, I might add.
Mask For Miles (CAN $94.00/Value of $133.00) | For anyone who’s obsessed with face masks (me), this is definitely one gift set you don’t want to skip. With a version that can be tailored to your skin’s varying needs, you literally have a mask here to tackle all issues. Naturally, the Sugar Face Polish (which has been a best-seller since it launched many years ago and is now a Hall of Famer for the brand) isn’t really a ‘mask‘ in the traditional sense, but the effect it imparts to the skin can rival that of any intensive treatment. With the Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask for tightening, the Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask for brightening, and the Rose Face Mask for hydration, this foursome has you covered. Literally. Oh, and you can always split them up to hand out — if you’re able to part with them, that is.
Zodiac Sugar Lip Treatment Advanced Therapy (CAN $32.00/each) | One of the OG products from this brand, the Sugar Lip Treatment has gone through many iterations over the years, and now even comes in tinted options as well. In addition to the sugar in the formula, it also contains Sea Fennel to help [somewhat] with filling in those pesky lip lines, and it smells just so.damn.good. What makes these holiday editions so special, is the packaging: every single zodiac sign is represented, turning this into the most customizable balm you’ll ever own — or gift out, for that matter. Perfect stocking stuffers, wouldn’t you say?
Even for a gift set-Grinch like me, I can’t help but be impressed with Fresh’s Holiday 2018 offerings; not only is the packaging fun (and literally ready to be handed out — just write the recipient’s name on the tag & done), but I feel like the brand actually put quite a bit of thought into how each set was put together. The price points are amazing too, with something for all budgets (by the way, there are a few more sets you can check out on Sephora’s site) and each is a great way for someone to be introduced to this brand. So basically, these are all win-win but remember: they’re only here for the holidays. Oh, an Christmas is now 6 days away (and I’m now partially ready, thanks to these sets).
