In yesterday’s post I mentioned that I’m not a fan of gift sets; I should clarify and state that the one exception to that is anything from L’Occitane, and this year’s Holiday 2018 offerings are once again scoring high points for being 100% amazing. To sweeten things further, L’Occitane has collaborated with fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac — known for vivid colour and unexpected pieces (such as a coat of teddy bears worn by Madonna, no less) — to create packaging designs that are eye-catching and fun, needing nothing more than a gift tag to finish things off. And just like that, you can knock a few more names off that list.

Hand Cream Bouquet (CAN $54.00) | I’ve said it often enough, that L’Occitane makes one of my favourite hand creams; I’m particularly obsessed with the Shea Butter Hand Cream, especially for Winter, and the Almond Delicious Hands — a more lightweight version that’s perfect for when the warmer weather hits. In fact, I usually have at least 2 travel-sized hand creams in my makeup bag with me at all times. What I love about this gift set, is that you have a wonderful selection to choose from to see you through the year, or another option is to give them out individually as stocking stuffers — either way, these are sure to be appreciated.
- Verbena Cooling Hand Cream Gel
- Roses et Reines Hand & Nail Cream
- Cherry Blossom Hand Cream
- Lavender Hand Cream
- Almond Delicious Hands
- Shea Butter Hand Cream
Shea Butter Collection (CAN $74.00) | Give me ALL the Shea Butter please, especially if it’s from L’Occitane. Made with sustainable-sourced shea butter from the women of the West-African country of Burkina Faso (where this initiative encourages and helps to promote financial independence for these women), this collection is nothing short of maximum nourishment for your body. Oh, and everything smells so heavenly — and how adorable is the limited edition packaging design?
- Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream (Net Wt. 6.9 oz)
- Shea Butter Hand Cream (Net Wt. 2.6 oz)
- Shea Lip Balm (0.4 fl. oz)
- Shea Body Shower Oil (8.4 fl. oz)
Almond Collection (CAN $74.00) | Beside the Shea Butter selection of products, I must confess that I’m equally as obsessed with the Almond range. For starters, the fragrance is seriously delicious, and then there’s the effect on the skin: soothing & comforting, providing an intensely hydrated feel, but which sinks right in and is never greasy. Sourced from the South of France, almond oil is rich in so many nutrients and is known for its amazing nourishing and moisturizing properties. By the way, if you’ve yet to try the Almond Milk Concentrate, this is a great introduction to what is definitely not only one of my absolute favourite body creams, but hands down a must-have from this brand. That, and the Shower Oil (so GOOD). Actually, everything in this set is fabulous.
- Almond Shower Oil (8.4 fl. oz)
- Almond Milk Concentrate (Net Wt. 7 oz)
- Almond Delicious Hands (Net Wt. 1 oz)
- Almond Delicious Soap (Net Wt. 1.7 oz)
- Almond Delicious Paste (Net Wt. 1.7 oz)
Beauty Oils Collection (CAN $79.00) | With the onset of Winter (which officially begins tomorrow, although the climate I live in means it feels like it began weeks ago — ugh), my skin needs all the moisture it can get, and believe me, nothing delivers long-lasting hydration better than an oil. In my opinion, L’Occitane can’t be matched when it comes to beauty oils, with products that not only smell absolutely amazing, but provide a deep skin-nourishing feel without the usual greasiness. Also, this set is a total win-win for me, as it contains both my loves: Shea Butter and Almond #yay
- Almond Shower Oil (8.4 fl. oz)
- Almond Supple Skin Oil (3.3 fl. oz)
- Shea Cleansing Oil (1 fl. oz)
- Shea Body Shower Oil (1.1 fl. oz)
Immortelle Divine Collection (CAN $199.00) | I’ve previously reviewed several from this collection (read it here), and it bears repeating: this is one of my favourite skincare ranges — and I’ve tried A LOT. Made with the ‘everlasting‘ flower, a plant that is filled with so many anti-aging benefits and active botanicals, this is the ultimate in skincare luxury — so go ahead and spoil yourself (or your loved ones). Take it from me: as a mom, I would be beyond thrilled to unwrap this set on Christmas day.
- Immortelle Divine Cream (Net Wt. 1.7 oz)
- Immortelle Divine Eyes (0.1 fl. oz)
- Immortelle Divine Foaming Cleansing Cream (4.2 fl.oz)
- Immortelle Divine Youth Oil (0.5 fl. oz)
Luxury Advent Calendar (CAN $134.00) | Once again this year, L’Occitane has created 2 advent calendars (Signature Advent Calendar CAN $59.00, not shown), and I received the Luxury version which covers the entire month leading up to Christmas day. Decorated with whimsical graphics from the Castelbajac collaboration, it’s filled with 24 luxury sized goodies, including premium fragrance, body care, hair care, and even luxe face products. Housed in a magical & moveable Rubik’s Cube-style tower, the fun lies not only in discovering what lies behind each of the 24 little drawers, but actually finding each number! Thank God I had my daughter help me find several, else I’d probably still be looking.
By the way, check out my Instagram Highlights @ommorphia (under “Beauty“) to see this Luxury Advent Calendar in action along with the products revealed.
Apart from the fact that these gift sets all contain products I can stand behind, I feel they have been not only thoughtfully curated, but they’re an excellent way to become acquainted with L’Occitane. The other benefit is that with every purchase, you’re giving the recipient a little bit of Provence heritage while also providing hope for a sustainable future, whether that’s in helping to provide sight to children or empowering the women of Burkina Faso — initiatives begun and sustained by this brand. Lastly, the price points are incredible, considering what you get in return. Summing it up: your skin will most definitely thank you.
