NARSissist Dual-Intensity Cheek Palette opener

NARS just recently released the NARSissist Dual-Intensity Cheek Palette (limited edition), four brand-new blush shades in the brand’s innovative wet/dry formula — all housed in one conveniently portable compact. With sculptural detailing on the surface of each shade, a finely-milled texture plus an otherworldly sheen at the finish, along with customizable coverage, there’s seriously so much to love about this palette.

Dual-Intensity Cheek Palette, limited edition (CAN $76.00) | Details such as the mirrored outer case and convenience of having four distinct hues all in the palm of your hand, are just the icing on this blush cake; at the end of the day, it’s performance that counts and all of the shades here do a stellar job of that indeed. Using a dry brush is best for a sheer yet still buildable wash of colour — giving a watercolour-like effect and up to a much stronger saturation. To really amp things up, a dampened brush will produce a more metallized finish, intense and totally eye-catching. Staying power, especially over foundation, is excellent – staying true without fading until removed.

  • I – Soft Tulle, white with a pearl reflect
  • II – Damask with Gold Sheen, similar to Orgasm – slightly more pink
  • III – Peony, cool-leaning hot pink
  • IV – Titian, soft metallic brick red

I’ve been a huge fan of NARS’ Dual-Intensity formula since its initial launch with eyeshadows, and have also been quite impressed with the blushes I’ve tried in this format. Even if you’re into more of a matte finish, I still say to give these a look as their resulting shine is not excessive, but one designed to blend effortlessly while providing your skin with a gorgeous radiance. Individually, each shade in this palette is smaller than what you get with the regular size duos, but as a little really does go a long way, I’m fairly confident I won’t be hitting pan anytime soon. For blush aficionados like me, I love how all the shades of this Dual-Intensity Cheek Palette are colours I don’t already have — whether in NARS, or otherwise. One warning: yes, it’s limited edition.
