Urban Decay · Elements Eyeshadow Palette

Inspired by core elements Air, Earth, Fire and Water, Urban Decay recently released the Elements Eyeshadow Palette, a grouping of never-before-seen shades from the brand, housed in an oversized round compact case that was very likely influenced by the cosmos itself. Out of this world, indeed … and oh-so worthy of investing in.

Elements Eyeshadow Palette (CAN $65.00) | How about that cover pattern, am I right? And something about the organic vibe of a round shape just speaks to me (that said, anything with corners is still much easier to store). This palette consists of 19 brand new shades in a range of textures: matte, satin, metallic, and a plethora of complex shimmers as well. The centre hue, Luna, can be worn a variety of ways i.e.: on its own as a sheer wash, applied with a dampened brush for maximum icy impact, as highlighter along cheekbones and other high points of the face, or layered over any other shade to “transform” it into something entirely new & unique. The formula on every single one actually blew me away: buttery smooth, minimal fallout, excellent saturation, easy blendability, and gorgeous colour. As far as staying power goes, when worn over primer all colours stayed trued until removed.

I’m absolutely honest when I say that I really wasn’t expecting to like this palette as much as I do. Yes, the size is rather large and therefore not exactly makeup bag-friendly (although I can see it being a good one to pack when travelling), but the shades are unique and generously sized — along with being stellar performers, which in turn makes this an amazing investment for the price. Of course, with the holidays just around the corner, you may want to add this to your wishlist #startdroppinghints

    Me now: “TAKE MY MONEY!!!”.

Seriously, this looks incredible and I’m sitting here planning looks already. Beautiful swatches and photos, as usual, too.

What are your thoughts, beautiful?
