Back by popular request, today’s post features Guerlain, one of my absolute favourite brands, but I confess that trying to focus on just 5 products was definitely challenging. That said, I decided to go for the pieces that have either completely stolen my heart and/or are the ones I’ve turned to the most … but let’s just say that there’s still so much more I love.

Guerlain · L’Art & La Matière Haute Parfumerie Collection

 

“L’Art & La Matière is a collection of olfactory masterpieces for true lovers of all things beautiful, crafted by the hands of the House of Guerlain Perfumers”

 

Guerlain began with perfume and continues dominating in that field to this day; to rebrand their Haute Parfumerie Collection for 2021, the House drew inspiration from within their own archives and in the process created a beautiful union between fragrance & art … while adding two new scents to the range, since they were at it. I recently had the pleasure of attending a private preview of this new collection and I can sum it up in one word: exquisite.

Givenchy · Le Rouge Sheer Velvet & L’Interdit EDP Rouge

 

Givenchy has just launched two new products for 2021, Le Rouge Sheer Velvet lipsticks and L’Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge, the newest addition to the growing L’Interdit fragrance family. The brand was kind enough to send both along for me to try, and I won’t get into detail here, but I’ll leave it at … wow.

Dior La Collection Privée · Eden-Roc Eau de Parfum

 

The latest addition to Dior’s Collection Privée range, Eden-Roc draws inspiration from the French Riviera’s legendary luxury Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. Aiming to capture the spirit of that Mediterranean paradise, this fragrance is more of an homage than a literal translation — a celebration of sun, elegant lifestyle, and full-on glamour. Oh, and it smells absolutely amazing, I might add.

CHANEL · Factory 5 Collection

 

To celebrate the 100th birthday of CHANEL’s iconic N° 5 fragrance, the brand created the Factory 5 Collection, a [super] limited edition group of 17 products, all housed in unexpected packaging. With a wink towards Andy Warhol’s famous “factory” and his artful immortalization of everyday objects (his Campbell’s Soup Can art instantly comes to mind), CHANEL adapted that concept with this collection, showing that N° 5 can transform even the ordinary.
