Last week I was invited to a virtual event for the launch of the latest by Issey Miyake, A Drop d’Issey Eau de Parfum, where I got to learn firsthand what drove the creation behind this new scent from both the perfumer behind the fragrance, as well as the bottle’s designer. What I never expected, however, was exactly how much I’d fall in love with this scent … and no lie, but I’ve literally been wearing it every single day.

New Guerlain fragrances: Aqua Allegoria Nettare di Sole & Flora Salvaggia

 

Guerlain has just added two new fragrances to the Aqua Allegoria range: Nettare di Sole and Flora Salvaggia, and deliciously evocative names aside, both are just so perfect for summer. Actually, both are perfect any time of year — we don’t need a specific season to enjoy wearing fragrance, now do we?

Gucci · The Alchemist’s Garden 1921 Eau de Parfum

 

 

 

The House of Gucci celebrates its 100th birthday and to mark the occasion, the brand has created & added a new fragrance to The Alchemist’s Garden range: 1921 Eau de Parfum — “1921” honouring the year of the brand’s birth. With two distinct ingredients hailing from Florence (the city where Gucci was founded) at its core, along with the emblematic green colour of the bottle, these are just some of the exquisite details paying tribute to this iconic Italian treasure.

New in fragrance: Ryder by Ex Idolo

I first learned about Ex Idolo through an Instagram conversation, which then prompted a discussion on the notes of this fragrance, notes which sounded exactly like what I gravitate towards.  And while there’s much I appreciate about mainstream brands, I’m always excited to discover something new — Ryder, is all that … and more. Redolent, smoky, exotic, sexy, mysterious, and even a little posh, this is a fragrance whose sole purpose is to get you noticed. In the best possible way, I might add.

Fragrance love: Le Lion de CHANEL, Les Exclusifs

 

 

The latest addition to CHANEL’s Les Exclusifs range is Le Lion de CHANEL, and I am completely smitten with everything about this fragrance. From the minimalist packaging, name, sublime scent, and all the symbolism behind its creation (more on that later), this jewel has quickly moved up the ranks to grab the top spot in my fragrance library.
