Star Lit Powder (CAN $25.00/each) | Made with real crushed mother of pearl, these powders are jam-packed with pigment of varying sizes, and can be worn either dry for a shimmery wash of colour, or with a dampened brush to create mega-brilliance. They can also be layered over other shadows (powder, cream, or even liquid form) to add an almost 3D-like effect, and can even be applied to lips (with the exception of Ultramarine and Gunmetal) as well as cheeks. See? That’s what I love about this brand: multi-tasking products at their finest. Super easy to blend out as well, a primer underneath will ensure you get the best staying power.

PRO TIP: the lightest shades also make for the most EXTRA highlighters — an unreal effect, in fact.

Star Lit Liquid (CAN $30.00/each) | Like starlight captured in liquid form, this product can be worn a number of ways as well: sheered out for the lightest wash of shimmer on both eyes and cheeks, layered up for extra wattage, or even mixed in with foundation for an out-of-this-world kind of glow. Thanks to the included brush, application couldn’t be easier and also helps with placement, and while great for packing on the brilliance, I find that fingers work best for any blending out — although you’ll need to work rapidly and one area at a time, as they do set rather quick. Staying time (over primer) is phenomenal, with the shimmer staying visible until removed.

As far as beauty goes, we live in truly amazing times where literally anything goes and since its inception, MAKE UP FOR EVER has always embraced the concept of “no beauty rules”.
