I was first introduced to Givenchy’s Le Rouge Perfecto Beautifying Lip Balm in 2016 (reviewed here) and was immediately impressed — both by its aesthetic appeal and performance. For 2018, the brand has added 3 more shades to the range, something that suits this lip balm-lover absolutely fine. I mean, who doesn’t want options?

NARS · 7 Deadly Sins Palette & Brow Perfector

 

Spinning transgressions into beauty might seem like quite the stretch, yet somehow NARS has managed that with the release of the 7 Deadly Sins Palette, turning something with ominous biblical overtones into a little work of lip art. To go with this palette are the brand’s new Brow Perfectors — straightforward pencils that need no instruction manual on use. Yes, please.

BEAUTYCOUNTER · Velvet Eyeshadow Palettes, Radiant All Over Bronzer & Satin Powder Blush

 

Lately I’ve been exploring “green” beauty options, in large part to BEAUTYCOUNTER, a brand that’s committed to producing luxury quality cosmetics and skincare that’s as well-crafted as many higher-end counterparts, but without any suspect or banned ingredients. That said, opening up each item I received may have caused my heart to skip a beat, but I still had my suspicions regarding performance; that was before I began testing everything out … #nospoilers

Dior · Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge & Ink Lip Liner

 

 

Dior has just upped the lipstick game with the recent launch of Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge — a range of 26 long-wearing shades housed in covetable red lacquered casings, along with Rouge Dior Ink Lip Liner — a hybrid lip product that just might be masquerading as a pen (not really, but still …). Gorgeous exteriors, innovative formulas, killer colours … what more does a girl need?

CHANEL · Le Volume Révolution de CHANEL

 

CHANEL’s original Le Volume mascara ranks as one of my personal faves, and as I’ve gone through multiple tubes of it over the years, you might say it’s my Holy Grail mascara. In my book, it’s the one I compare all others to and until now, nothing threatened to knock it off the leader board. Then back in March, I learned that the brand would be launching Le Volume Révolution de CHANEL, created with the world’s first 3D-printed mascara brush, and so I wondered: would this be the one?
