My 5 Fave CHANEL Palettes
By popular request, I’ve rounded up my top 5 CHANEL eyeshadow palettes. These are the ones I reach for the most and apart from them all being shades I gravitate to, they also happen to never let me down quality-wise. Neutral-leaning but with an edge (hello, red hue), all five palettes are super wearable, flattering, and have definitely proved their worth.
CHANEL Fall-Winter 2021 · Tone On Tone Collection
I know it’s still summer, but beauty marches to its own calendar … case in point: today’s post on CHANEL’s Fall-Winter 2021 Tone On Tone Collection. With a focused colour palette, this collection is about a hushed kind of harmony, and while winter might be in its name, to me this grouping seems like it’s encapsulating fall’s full splendour — which is what I’ll be going with, as I’m nowhere near ready to even think of cold weather.
CHANEL · Eyes Campaign 2021
CHANEL recently released the Eyes 2021 Campaign, a capsule collection which features seven new eyeliners added to the existing lineup, along with two new eyeshadow palettes. Tapping Belgian singer Angèle as the face of the campaign, this grouping might seem small, but don’t let that fool you, as these pieces all pack one helluva gorgeous punch.
CHANEL · Backstage Beauty Fall-Winter 2021/22 Haute Couture
It seemed only fitting that CHANEL’s recent Fall/Winter 2021-2022 Haute Couture show was held at the Palais Galleria, City of Paris Fashion Museum, especially considering that paintings from the Belle Époque (19th century) were the inspiration behind the collection, in particular works from two female artists — Berthe Morisot and Marie Laurencin. Interestingly, both makeup and hair had a strong edge, an effect that toned down the softness of the pieces and gave the looks an overall rock & roll vibe which I personally found so fresh and, well … cool.
CHANEL · Factory 5 Collection
To celebrate the 100th birthday of CHANEL’s iconic N° 5 fragrance, the brand created the Factory 5 Collection, a [super] limited edition group of 17 products, all housed in unexpected packaging. With a wink towards Andy Warhol’s famous “factory” and his artful immortalization of everyday objects (his Campbell’s Soup Can art instantly comes to mind), CHANEL adapted that concept with this collection, showing that N° 5 can transform even the ordinary.
