Guerlain · Aqua Allegoria Eau de Toilette

The House of Guerlain has a long & storied history in the world of fragrance, having composed masterpieces such as Shalimar (which I absolutely love, for the record) amongst others. Then in 1999, Aqua Allegoria — a new fresh range of fragrances, was created to compliment the brand’s impressive roster … and caught the attention of a younger demographic, along with those who wanted to dip their toes (so to speak) in the Guerlain olfactory experience. For my part, I only recently tried these on for size and my jaw dropped; how have I missed wearing these fragrances until now?

Guerlain · Make it a Terracotta Summer

Maybe it’s because I’m born in July, but I’m a Summer girl through & through, and nothing captures the spirit of the season better than Guerlain’s Terracotta — especially this glorious fragrance. But the venerable house hasn’t stopped there, having released several other products under the Terracotta banner that are definitely worthy of the name.

CHANEL · Les Eaux de Chanel

Summer 2018 brings us Les Eaux de CHANEL, three new fragrance launches from the venerable house that draw their inspiration from Gabrielle Chanel’s favourite places. Guerlain · Météorites Le Parfum

Inspired by the brand’s cult-fave beauty pearls, Guerlain has recently expanded the Météorites universe with the launch of the first ever bespoke fragrance, Météorites Le Parfum. Master perfumer (and my friend!) Thierry Wasser wanted to capture the freshness and subtlety of the makeup pearls’ iconic violet scent — almost as though the wearer were entering the Météorites pearl workshop … and yes, there actually is a workshop where only 3 people know the exact formulation for these pearls, and mix every batch by hand; crazy, am I right? And although I’ve yet to visit this fabled workshop for myself, after test-driving this lovely scent for some time now, I’d say Monsieur Wasser has most definitely succeeded.

Men’s Fragrance Edit 2018

Growing up, fragrance was something that only the women in my family used; the most my dad ever applied, was Old Spice aftershave … the scent will forever remind me of him. As I got older and understood that there was a whole world of men’s scents out there, I began gravitating to those counters and more often than not, would spritz several varieties along my wrists. To this day, I actually enjoy wearing a more masculine type of fragrance — which brings me to today’s post. It may be all about the guys, but to paraphrase a famous jingle, “I like it too” (if you’re old enough to remember where this is from, leave me a note in the comments below!)
