On my most recent pilgrimage to The Loop, I was sidetracked from my usual beauty foraging and wandered off instead into the newly renovated Rudsak boutique. Launched in 1994 here in my hometown of Montréal by Evik Asatoorian, it all began with an iconic black leather jacket which then went on to spawn a brand empire that now includes leather fashion, luxury sportswear, as well as accessories for women, men, & children. I actually fell quite hard for this gorgeous chocolate-leather travel bag and I swear that if I were travelling at that very moment, I would have scooped it up in a heartbeat (and at 20% off + no tax, it’s practically a steal) then promptly ditched every other bag I had. Sigh ….

Hockey borders on religion in Canada, and that’s clearly evident here in Montréal now that playoff season is upon us and our beloved Habs (aka: the Montréal Canadiens, hockey’s oldest team #habsfanforlife) are in. Even the airport has gotten into the spirit by switching up the usual sign to display the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge … GO HABS GO!

Kiehl’s · Original Musk Blend N°1 Eau de Toilette & Bath and Shower Cleanser
Today is Valentine’s Day and I wanted to celebrate this day of love with something universal, such as this Original Musk Blend N°1 duo from Kiehl’s. The story goes that the recipe for this fragrance was originally created in the 1920’s at the Kiehl’s Apothecary, then forgotten, then rediscovered in the 1950’s in a vat labelled “Love Oil”, then rechristened Original Musk for its 1963 debut. Quite the interesting love story, no?
