A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to the launch of the spectacular new Beauty Hall found in the recently renovated Holt Renfrew Ogilvy store in my hometown of Montréal, where I also there to discover a first of its kind in Canada: Guerlain’s Parfumeur Boutique — and I even had the opportunity to create my very own personalized Bee bottle. When it comes to unique and customized beauty, this feature ranks high up there and most definitely warrants a visit.

Living in a climate with such extremes (ridiculously hot & humid in Summer, bone-cold in Winter), my lips are always in need of hydration and there are usually anywhere from 2-4 lip balms in my makeup bag at any given time. There are times when I also want a spot of colour thrown in along with the hydration factor, and to that end Givenchy’s Le Rose Perfecto not only meets that need, but does it with some of the most bougie packaging out there. For 2019, the brand has just added to the range with several new shades … all utterly wearable and incredibly comfortable to boot.

For Summer 2019, Mugler’s Angel has been reinvented into an exotic tropical fragrance: think of Eau Croisière as Angel’s fresh, sunny, fruity and oh-so-flirty younger sister. Tweaking an iconic scent is always a tricky endeavour, but this time around all the stars must have been aligned because all it took was one spritz and I was hooked: a vay-cay in bottle form and just like that, it’s love.

With Spring fast approaching, the House of Guerlain has just launched Mon Guerlain Bloom of Rose Eau de Toilette, the newest member of the highly successful Mon Guerlain family, and once again fronted by muse Angelina Jolie. Personally, I’ll take this kind of bottled bouquet over a fresh floral arrangement any day of the week … it may not pack the same visual impact that masses of blooms do, but it sure as heck will last a lot longer.
Tiffany Fragrances · Eau de Parfum Intense & Eau de Toilette Sheer
Receiving an iconic blue box from Tiffany & Co. is something that never fails to excite me — and as you can see by the amount of boxes in the above photo (of which this is just a portion — yikes!), I’ve obviously been quite spoiled. When the brand launched their bespoke fragrance last year (reviewed here), it was as though they heard my wish & created a scent that can best be described as ‘quiet luxury‘ aka: so very Tiffany, indeed. So how do you improve on a classic? By giving it a couple of siblings via an Intense version and the latest iteration, Sheer. And since Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, I’d say you can start dropping some hints right about now.
