Back by popular request, today’s post features Guerlain, one of my absolute favourite brands, but I confess that trying to focus on just 5 products was definitely challenging. That said, I decided to go for the pieces that have either completely stolen my heart and/or are the ones I’ve turned to the most … but let’s just say that there’s still so much more I love.
LORAC · Mega Beam Highlighters & Holy Mascara
I first heard of LORAC about 25 years ago and while I was on a weekend trip to NYC, I purchased a couple of products … which then almost landed me in major trouble at customs upon my return home. The short version is that the customs agent was a real a$$ and wanted to nail me on the 2 items claiming they were “super expensive” (they weren’t), but the hassle was so, so real. That said, at least I got a good story out of it! So when this totally unexpected package came in the other day, it brought all those memories back — but with a stress-free ending this time around.
NARS · 2021 Orgasm On The Beach Collection
Inspired by their cult-fave blush, NARS has released the limited edition Orgasm On The Beach Collection for summer 2021. And even if the name weren’t enough to seduce you (but I mean … COME on …), or if you’ve yet to try your first NARS Orgasm, then here’s your chance to get it on. Ok … I’ll stop with the double-entendres now (maybe).
NARS Summer Solstice 2021 Collection
A few weeks ago, NARS launched the Summer Solstice Collection for 2021, and I have to say, it’s a good one. Damn good, in fact. True to François Nars’ aesthetic, both pieces come housed in stunning packaging that definitely compliments what’s on the inside. Spoiler: these palettes absolutely deliver.

Inspired by Japanese Akoya pearls, CHANEL’s Perles et Éclats Collection draws on Coco Chanel’s love of these lustrous gems and their complex luminosity, with several pieces here absolutely delivering on that aesthetic. For example, feast your eyes on that exquisite highlighter … I rest my case.
