The Grand Palais in Paris was once again the venue of choice for CHANEL’s recent Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Ready-To-Wear Collection, where Karl Lagerfeld transformed the space into a sylvan paradise — complete with trees lining the runway and leaves crunching underfoot. This paradoxically fantastical, yet absolutely realistic setting proved the brand’s creative wizardry once more … and was the fashion equivalent of a mic drop. #speechless

Come step into the forest of the Grand Palais

I may prefer warmer temps, but this image makes me long for Fall …

The inspiration was Indian Summer with its lush earthen and russet tones, and while the fabrics and accessories may have been richly endowed, hair was styled simply in a loose topknot, while the makeup acted as a perfect counterpoint by taking a few cues from Mother Nature herself and literally glowed from within. Oh, and for the record, I intend to recreate this entire look.
