What does it say about me that the Winter collections haven’t all been released yet I’m already dreaming of the Spring 2011 offerings? Maybe it’s the thought of all that freshness that’s luring me, especially now that we’re heading into the heart of winter (and let me tell you, Quebec winters can be brutal!)
Deborah Lippmann nail polishes can be summed up with one word: luxurious. From the exquisite bottle shape, to the excellent brush and superb formulation, this range of products just screams luxury. She can also be credited with making glitter polishes über-chic as well as introducing hexagonal glitter to the rest of us in a big way. Spring 2011 shows no sign of this glitter party ending and once again, Deborah will be debuting another hex glitter polish named ‘Glitter In The Air’, inspired by Pink’s performance at the 2009 American Music Awards. This looks to be a pale, milky baby blue with what she describes as “salmon and blue” glitter flecks.
There are 3 other colours being launched with her spring collection as well; ‘Naked’ is her version of a nude nail, ‘I Know What Boys Like’ looks to be a creamy, periwinkle blue and ‘Girls Just Want To Have Fun’ is another creamy, vibrant coral shade.
According to Deborah, the trend for spring will be to move away from the grey tones we’ve been seeing lately and more towards nudes and fleshier shades, layered with a top coat like ‘Glitter In The Air’. Personally, I can’t wait to see the effect that will give and will be sure to snatch it up as soon as it’s released. Stay tuned for future swatches!
