The Diorshow range of products ranks as one of my favourites from Dior, and recently the brand reformulated some iconic pieces along with releasing several interesting new colour harmonies. Drawing inspiration from the House’s vast fashion history, these are all classics and what’s more, there’s something here to suit all tastes and complexions.

Diorshow 5 Couleurs Palettes (CAN $80.00/each) | Each palette in the range is inspired by an iconic piece of Dior fashion and housed in a navy lacquered slim-profile case. With a full sized mirror on the inner lid along with 2 small brushes, the 5 shades come in a variety of finishes: matte, satin, and/or metallic. The formula has also been reinvented, and is now comprised of natural-origin pigments and infused with cornflower extract. The texture is stellar with all shades: richly pigmented, buttery smooth in application, and super easy to blend out. Staying power when worn over primer, is excellent. Available in 19 colour harmonies.

In comparing previous palettes, there are differences in the exterior cases as well, with the latest version (seen on the right) sporting the CD logo at the clasp opening, along with the name in capitals on the lid.
The original 2011 Mitzah palette is worlds apart from the newer iteration; for starters, both the inside of the cardboard packaging and the protective inner sleeve of the 2011 version comes with a leopard print pattern that’s also echoed on the surface of the powder. But more importantly and as can be seen, the shades themselves are completely different. There are textural differences as well, with the 2023 version being smoother, more pigmented, and displaying a more visible sheen. That said, I’m still glad that I have the original and it’s a palette that I used to reach for quite often back in the day.
Diorshow On Stage Crayon (CAN $43.00/each) | Each liner comes with a separate sharpener (TIP: along the underside of the sharpener is a removable pointed wedge that you can use to dislodge any liner bits that collect in the sharpener). The top end of each pencil also comes with a dense foam smudger that’s useful in softening the look of the applied liner. The texture is creamy, yet richly pigmented and applies beautifully without pulling or tugging on the delicate skin around eyes, as well as being safe to be worn on the inner lash line. Long-lasting, these are budge-proof once applied so it’s best to work one eye at a time if you’re planning on blending out. When worn along the inner lower lash line, the pale beige shade “opens” eyes to help make them appear larger, while the blue shade worn along the inner lower lash line helps to make the whites of the eyes seem much brighter. The black shade is a lush, deep black and makes for the perfect smoky touch. Available in 8 shades.

Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara (CAN $44.00/each) | Housed in a tall silver tube with a Dior logo collar, this is truly a star product in the Dior lineup. The densely bristled curved brush not only picks up just the right amount of product from the tube, but can hug every lash hair with ease — even little hairs you had no idea were there. The texture is neither too runny nor thick and once applied shows no creasing, flaking, or leaving behind any undereye smears. Providing major volume, length, and the ability to hold a curl, this is also safe for contact lens wearers, and removes easily at the end of the day using a dual-phase remover. Available in 5 shades with a few limited edition colours.
TIP: I usually find that I get the best performance out of my mascaras when I’ve allowed a bit of air to get in the tube, usually around the 3rd-4th time of use. For some reason, this allows the formula to apply in a denser way.

Diorshow Brow Styler 32 Dark Brown (CAN $42.00) | This eyebrow pencil has long been loved by makeup artists and consumers alike, and for good reason: it works. Housed in a slim metallic case, the tip is retractible while the other end hides a spoolie under the cap. The texture is initially a touch stiff but becomes easier to work with once used regularly, depositing long-lasting colour. The thin pencil also makes it easy to create realistic individual hairs. Available in 7 shades.
What I really like about the Diorshow range, is that not only do you get variety, but that all pieces deliver as promised. I’m also happy about the fact that these are permanent so unless the brand decides to either discontinue something or come out with a limited edition colour, you know that your favourites are there for the long haul. My verdict? Definitely worth investing in.
