The Greek brand KORRES (pronounced “ko-RES”) has become synonymous worldwide, for its exceptional, highest-quality ingredient natural skin and bodycare products – all housed in sleek & sophisticated recycled packaging, respecting not only your every skincare need, but the environment as well.

Founded in 1996 by the husband and wife team of George and Lena Korres, the roots of this brand lie in Athens, Greece’s, first-ever homeopathic pharmacy. Keeping in line with their philosophy, what you won’t find in any KORRES product, is the use of specific synthetic compounds such as petroleum derivatives (used as fillers in more conventional products, due to their low cost and broad-ranging availability), silicones, propylene glycol (the most standard solvent of plant extraction, yet commonly linked to several known allergies), ethanolamines (a family of synthetic compounds used to adjust the PH or add viscosity to a product) and ammonia, to name but a few – all replaced with equally effective, but beneficial and skin-friendly natural ingredients instead.

Working continuously with Athens University’s Pharmacology School, along with an independent scientific research board, the company continues to pioneer incredibly effective, innovative natural products, with their 2009 range “Quercetin & Oak” bearing the Nobel-awarded discovery of the “Proteasome” – the first natural cream to achieve higher scores on all comparative crash-tests with the marketplace’s top-selling anti-aging creams.

I personally came across the KORRES line of products while on a visit to Greece in the Summer of 2004, and instantly fell in love with the range, without having any idea of its origins or history. Since then, the more I have come to know the line and having tried several of their products by now, my devotion is eternally secured. Of course, the fact that I myself am Greek, means that I feel an incredible sense of pride as well with this brand — doesn’t hurt, am I right?!
