With the amount of releases MAC puts out (literally, every 3 weeks) it can be hard to keep up or even figure out what to go for, but you really can’t miss the standout pieces of any given collection; usually, those are the ones to disappear first but luckily for me this Otherworldly Mineralize Skinfinish was not only available when I went out hunting for it, but many counters probably still have a few pieces hanging about – it really never hurts to ask!

MAC | Otherworldly Mineralize Skinfinish

Otherworldly Mineralize Skinfinish, limited edition (CAN $) | A slow-baked face and body highlight powder that is made with a 77-Mineral Complex and Vitamin E for added hydration, in an ultra fine velvety smooth texture that blends & buffs easily into the skin. The three shades of Otherworldly seem at odds when seen in the pan, and yet when swirled together the bronze, peach, and silver hues combine to create a truly “otherworldly” radiance. Each segment is large enough to be picked up individually, although you’ll definitely need to adjust your brush size accordingly.

With several ways to wear this luminous highlighter, my preferred method is to swirl the shades together (I usually concentrate more on the larger hues and only apply light touches of the silver) and sweep that anywhere I want to create a glow; tops of cheekbones, temples, cupid’s bow, collarbone area or even along shoulders and/or shins. Staying power over primer is excellent as the powder seems to meld with the skin’s natural oils and warmth. I also like wearing a light touch of Otherworldly on its own over bare skin, and now that I have a light tan it really makes it stand out (but in a good way). BONUS: those with super fair complexions can even try making this work as a shimmery blush shade.
