Moroccanoil Body – Shower Gel & Cleansing Bar

I just knew from my very first experience with the intoxicating aroma that is Moroccanoil®, that this fragrance was something I ~~needed~~ wanted to be wrapped up in, and with the new Body range, that’s exactly what I intend to do. You’ll want to as well, I’ll bet.

PS: That adorable monogrammed towel in the photo? Gifted to me from the brand ambassador when I met him for lunch this past summer to preview the Moroccanoil® Body line of products (read about it here). I actually don’t want to ruin it by using it … how crazy is that?

Shower Gel (CAN $26.00/ 200 ml) – the signature Moroccanoil® fragrance is definitely present in this honey-hued shower gel, which is also infused with glycerin (a humectant) that is said to “help increase skin’s elasticity and provide long-lasting moisture”. A little goes a long way with this product, as it is quite concentrated and lathers up beautifully with a light-weight foam – all while cleansing without giving you that dreaded tight-skin feeling. Even after towelling off, my skin felt supple enough that I could have skipped moisturizer – not that I ever would, however (moisture-obsessed that I am).

The cap is also unique: in order for it to be fully closed, you need to press down on the center portion until you hear it “click” firmly closed – a welcome safety feature, as well as ensuring you won’t be wasting any of the contents needlessly.

Cleansing Bar (CAN $10.00/ 110g) – an ivory hued cleansing bar that merges the brand’s star ingredient, argan oil, with shea butter for even more moisture infusing properties to you skin. Bearing the Moroccanoil® signature scent as well, this bar cleanses thoroughly and washes off without leaving any filmy residue on the skin – I couldn’t get over how clean I felt, without that typical “tight” sensation that most soaps leave behind.
