The classic golden-yellow hue of the fragrance has been transformed into makeup for face & eyes, while red — the very colour of life — adorns lips and nails. Of course, there’s a little bit of sparkle thrown in as well to help you “zhuzh” up your looks … done in CHANEL’s inimitably elegant style, naturally.

YSL Beauty recently launched the NU Collection (French for “nude“) and while the brand may have had Gen Z-ers in mind for its creation, I’m thinking that this range will appeal to a much broader age group as well. Playful & customizable, these products are for anyone who appreciates minimal makeup that’s combined with skincare for that extra something-something. It’s all about enhancing vs masking, and I’m definitely down for that.
Launched in 2019 by Tina Chen Craig, television host and a pioneer influencer in lifestyle & luxury skincare — as well as the founder behind the popular blog BagSnob, Tina was looking to streamline her skincare routine without sacrificing results, and thus U BEAUTY was born. Riding the new “skinamilistic” trend, this range might be small (as in, reaalllllyy small), but packs quite the punch.
CHANEL’s recent Spring-Summer 2021 Ready-To-Wear runway show was held in a temporary location near famous Paris landmark, Les Invalides, and paid homage to the 90s supermodel days as the models bounded down the catwalk while vamping it up for the photographer mosh pit at the end. In contrast to all that glam, makeup was soft, wearable and just so perfectly pretty, paired with minimal hair to keep everything balanced. Not surprising, nails sported CHANEL’s iconic Ballerina — aka: the shade of choice for the majority of the brand’s shows, and I’m ok with that as since this has long been one of my absolute faves to wear … I’m happy seeing more eclectic shades with any upcoming beauty collections!
