Right before Christmas, I received this Urban Decay Party Favor Moondust Palette (more on the name later on) as part of a L’Oréal Luxe box, and my first reaction was that it looked “fun”. Then I actually swatched it and I was all “WHOA” … a reaction that in turn prompted a more in-depth review, hence this post (duh, lol) — enjoy!
Inspired by the soothing light (I’m guessing that would be at twilight) and powerful stillness of the desert, CHANEL has just launched their Spring/Summer 2020 Collection, with one of the star pieces being this Éclat Du Désert Illuminating Powder. This may be just me, but I find something so calming about the look of this highlighter — it’s like I can almost hear the wind whispering along the sand dunes. Too much? lol
My foundation preferences are simple; I want a light to soft medium coverage, an absolutely weightless feel, and a totally natural-looking finish that also keeps my T-zone from looking like an oil slick. Ok, so maybe my wish list isn’t as simple as I thought, but surprisingly all my criteria have been met with Givenchy’s Matissime Velvet Fluid Foundation — this, I was so NOT expecting but I’m so happy to have discovered.
I was 14 when the original Star Wars™ movie was released and I literally went and saw it in theatre 7 times (obviously this was before BluRay existed). To say that I am a sci-fi geek wouldn’t be a lie, so when I received an email notification that Pat McGrath was launching a collection to coincide with the release of Star Wars™: The Rise of Skywalker, I didn’t hesitate. Beauty + science fiction = PERFECTION, at least for me.
I couldn’t think of a more appropriate way to end 2019 than with this spectacular beauty, CHANEL’s Duo de Camélias Illuminating Face Powder. An online exclusive, this was one I was not going to pass up on — mainly because you all know about my obsession with this brand (seriously; click the CHANEL tab in the sidebar to see exactly what I’m talking about), but also because something about the pattern literally stopped me in my tracks. And then I realized: this would make THE perfect highlighter to wear on New Year’s Eve. I love it when all the stars are aligned this way!
