Hot on the heels of the latest trend, Smashbox has launched Color Correcting Stick (exclusive to Sephora, available in four shades), ultra-creamy pencils that can be applied dry or wet, providing buildable coverage to target many of your complexion needs. Made with Vitamin E, each stick also offers moisturizing properties while helping to blur the look of fine lines and pores. Colouring outside of the lines was never more fun – or easy.
With the concept rooted in Fine Arts and the colour wheel as a guide, every professional makeup artist has long used similar tinted products to create the most perfect and natural looking canvas for their clients – and now thanks to this new easy-to-use pencil format, so can we all.
Each Color Correcting Stick comes with an included sharpener, while their portable pencil format makes for easy on-the-go touchups. The texture is super creamy and glides effortlessly along the skin without any tugging or pulling, with each shade offering excellent blendability as well so that they fuse seamlessly onto skin. For more coverage, you can apply each pencil damp; the easiest way I found is by ‘scribbling’ a good amount onto the back of my hand and then going in with a dampened brush (I use a flat brush with synthetic bristles) then I lightly dab the product onto the targeted area, finishing up by patting in with my finger (the heat of your finger will help the product merge more naturally into the skin). For the most even-toned look, start by applying your pencil(s) of choice onto moisturized and/or primed skin (targeted areas), then layer on your foundation, and end by touching up with the pencil as needed (over your foundation) for the most flawless finish.
Wear time is quite good (approx. 8+ hours, longer with setting powder on top) which is also commensurate with the amount used (the more product used, the longer it will last).

Don’t Be Dull (CAN $27.00) | Lavender tinted to brighten sallowness and/or yellowness (this shade even helps with any light bruising or veining).
Get Less Red (CAN $27.00) | Green tinted to reduce redness, such as from blemishes, rosacea, broken capillaries and any other reddish spots on the skin.
Look Less Tired – Light (CAN $27.00) | Peach tinted to illuminate skin and/or conceal dark circles, blemishes (suitable for fair to light-medium skin tones). Can also be used to highlight key areas for a more natural ‘strobing’ effect.
