New from Giorgio Armani: Ecstasy Mirror Lip Lacquer
Armani Beauty recently released Ecstasy Mirror Lip Lacquer, and while the name alone is intriguing, I have to admit that their look also pulled me in to give them a whirl. That may sound superficial, but I have to be honest here: I’m ALL about the entire package (with results being at the top, of course).
YSL · Tatouage Couture Velvet Cream
YSL recently launched Tatouage Couture Velvet Cream liquid lipsticks and ridiculously long name aside, I’m actually surprised by how much I’m liking the formula. Of course, the gorgeous packaging had something to do with it, but in the end it was the “velvet” part that hooked me.
NARS · Orgasm X Collection
Back in 1999, François Nars caused quite the stir in the beauty world with the release of the provocatively named Orgasm blush and now 21 years later, he’s taking things up a notch with the launch of the Orgasm X Collection. Basically, you might think of these pieces as multiple “O’s” for the face … and yes, I went there.
NARS · The Bronzing Collection 2020
For 2020, NARS has added to the Laguna family with The Bronzing Collection and I scooped up these 3 lovelies at the recent Sephora sale. Laguna is the very first bronzer I bought ages ago, and continues to be one of my favourites to this day. As to the lippies, something told me that they would be bang-on perfect for summer; I wasn’t wrong.
CHANEL · Fall Winter 2020/2021 Beauty
For CHANEL’s recent Fall/Winter 2020-2021 Ready-To-Wear show, Paris’ historic Grand Palais (aka: the brand’s go-to venue), was transformed into a representation of the River Seine. With undulating curves and a sinuous catwalk polished to mimic crystal clear water, the looks presented fit a nautical theme via swashbuckling influences, thanks to ruffles a-plenty and gleaming admiral buttons — but what truly captured me, was the makeup. I’ve probably said a billion times before how “wearable” a particular look might be, but this one truly tops them all.
