Top Bronzers 2022

Back by popular request, I’ve rounded up my top bronzers for 2022 … with a twist, as one isn’t technically a bronzer but you’ll see why I added it to the group. It’s actually a bit strange to think that several years ago I rarely used bronzers of any kind, but now it’s one of my most reached for beauty products. Evolution is good!

Guerlain · Terracotta Light 2022

Guerlain recently launched their newest bronzer in the Terracotta family along with an accompanying brush, and I’m so here for both! Having been one of the first luxury brands to market bronzing powders, you can bet that this House has the formula down, and even a quick glimpse shows that no detail has been spared … as per usual, I might add.

CHANEL Backstage Beauty · Fall-Winter 2022/23 Ready To Wear

Turning a Scottish classic into a luxury icon, CHANEL’s recent Fall-Winter 2022/23 Ready-to-Wear Collection paid tribute to all things tweed — even the venue was swathed in the fabric. Gorgeous accessories and runway pieces aside, the beauty look was minimal yet so fresh, with cheeks looking flushed with colour as though kissed by a walk through the moors. For the recent CHANEL Spring/Summer 2022 Haute Couture Collection, Virginie Viard invited contemporary artist Xavier Veilhan to help stage the show; part landscape, part garden and part open theatre, the setting also integrated seating for guests in the catwalk, making for a truly immersive experience. Of course, it wouldn’t be a CHANEL show without something spectacular, and that came in the form of Charlotte Casiraghi — daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco, grand-daughter of Grace Kelly — who opened the show on horseback. Happily, the horse was well trained enough to not leave any ‘surprises’ along the way …

CHANEL · Backstage Beauty Métiers d’Art Show 2021

Every year CHANEL pays tribute to the virtuoso hands behind all the exquisite details that go into each creation with the Métiers d’Art show, with the 2021/22 Collection held at Le 19M — the new venue where all of the Maison’s artisans are currently housed. Initiated by Coco Chanel herself, this endeavour helps to preserve the incredible skills of several hundred artisans, while also shaping new specialists to further these time-honoured traditions. The beauty look was both avant-garde and timeless … and you can bet that I’ll be trying my hand to recreate it. Wish me luck.
