CHANEL · Les Beiges 2024

As an avid collector (& wearer) of CHANEL’s Les Beiges range since its inception, I’m always excited to see the new launches. For 2024, the brand has released new bronzing powder trios, along with adding new shades in both the Les Beiges foundation and face powder ranges. And yes, I’m loving it all.

Healthy Glow Sun-Kissed Powder (CAN $115.00/each) | Available in 5 colour harmonies (Medium Coral, Deep Rose Gold, and Deep Mauve not shown). Housed in an oversized square compact with a beige lacquered lid, there’s also a full sized mirror on the inside. The three shades consist of a highlighter (top), bronzer (middle) and blush (bottom), with each being large enough to be picked up separately, although I find the real magic happens when you swirl the 3 together. The texture is extremely fine and relatively lightweight once applied, and is stated to provide up to 8 hours wear time, giving your skin that coveted “bonne mine” (French for “healthy glow”) effect, as though you’ve just spent time outdoors and gained a lovely flush of colour as a result.

Light Coral – champagne highlighter, soft tan bronzer, peachy pink blush

Medium Rose Gold – soft camel highlighter, fawn bronzer, vivid rose blush

Healthy Glow Sheer Powder B140 (CAN $78.00) | Housed in a regularly sized compact with a beige lacquered lid and mirror on the inside, this powder also comes with a demi-lune brush that works surprisingly well, although I prefer using my own brushes. I have a confession; looking at the colour I was positive that it wouldn’t work on my light-medium complexion, but not only is the powder of a fine enough texture that it applies gossamer-light upon the skin, but now that I have a tan it’s a great option for me. One of the new shades in the range, it can be worn on its own as a hybrid face powder/bronzer, or used as a setting powder (particularly effective on deeper skin tones). Long-lasting and provides continuous hydration once applied.

Healthy Glow Foundation Longwear (CAN $80.00/each) | Housed in a hefty glass bottle with a pump dispenser and a beige lid sporting the iconic double C logo, this is light to medium coverage foundation. The texture has an excellent consistency and applies easily to the skin, regardless of whether you’re using fingers, a brush, or a sponge for the job. You can also build it up for more coverage where needed, although I personally prefer a lighter layer which has the effect of evening out my skin, without masking it. The formula  is 90% skincare, infused with jasmine extract for its beneficial properties and the radiant appearance it imparts to the skin. Both hues shown are new additions to the range, bringing that to a total of 42 shades. I had actually forgotten how much I like this foundation, and I’m so thrilled to have rediscovered it again.

I swatched both before I left for Greece, and you can clearly see below, that BO33 is a perfect match, while BO53 appears too dark. Now that my skin is tanned, BO53 is actually the perfect match and I like that as my tan fades, I can even combine the two for a customized shade.

There’s a good reason why CHANEL’s Les Beiges range is one of my favourites, not to mention being the products I reach for the most: everything absolutely delivers in the best way possible. The pieces shown in this post all met & exceeded my expectations and what’s more, all are part of the permanent lineup — and that’s a good thing, in my book. Final verdict? Definitely worth checking out.
