For this year’s first NYFW collaboration, Christian Louboutin – the man behind those ubiquitous red soles that we all so unashamedly covet, teamed up with Novis to customize three distinct shoe styles (round-toe 30mm block heel Treliliane, cross-strap Soustelissimo 100, and closed-toe fringed bootie Ottocarl 100), as well as a unique mani look inspired by the designs.
To compliment the colour-blocked pattern of the ‘Ellsworth Kelly-inspired’ clothing collection, top manicurist Alicia Torello created a matching colour-blocked mosaic negative-space mani, artfully capturing the essence of the collection without overpowering the clothing. This definitely shows that the negative mani trend is still going strong (a look I’ve yet to try, but really should attempt – and soon).
