Don’t you just love it when function is joined with form? Case in point, the humble (but oh-so-necessary) nail file – elevated to an “objet de luxe” by an addition of crystals and a soft casing, as imagined by Mont Bleu, a company out of the Czech Republic that specializes in glass nail files – clear, coloured & crystal embedded, various beauty tools, as well as a large range of crystal jewelry. While certainly lovely to behold, I found that the crystals at the top of each nail file also held another benefit: grip, something highly useful when dealing with glass.

I can’t think of a prettier beauty tool that can be taken out in public and sure to be coveted by anyone who happens to look your way!

Last word: The Czech Republic has held a long history of creating exquisite glass work, and Mont Bleu Glass Nail Files, with their pretty adornment and plush sleeves, are certainly splurge-and-exhibition worthy, while the stainless steel tweezers with their rubberized grips will ensure your brows look as good as your nails. Whether your tastes run to sophisticated bling, unique water-coloured surfaces, or clean and non-elaborate, there is a file in a size & style to suit all tastes … good luck trying to narrow down your choices, however!

NOTE: The trio of Swarovski elements decorated nail files, retails for approximately CAD $31.50 – not bad at all, especially when you consider that one Essie glass nail file can set you back about CAD $15.00 (plus tax).
