Rescue Beauty Lounge – Housewives of Tudor England ‘Catherine H.’

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving everyone!

I know it’s taken me a while to get around to swatching this collection, but better late than never, eh?!……

Catherine H. is a unique blue shade in my collection as I have nothing even remotely close to it.  As much as I love seeing some of the more vibrant shades out there, they always seem more trendy than wearable to me (glitters notwithstanding of course!) but this is one colour that is not only edgy enough for the evening, but can be worn in a more casual daytime setting as well.  The polish applies exceptionally smoothly, and even though it seemed a tad thicker than what I’m used to with other brands, it nonetheless went on effortlessly, possibly as a result of the excellent brush.  I applied 2 coats, although it seemed almost opaque with one.  If you click on the pictures, you can see the pink and aquamarine flecks in this shade which gives Catherine H. its incredible depth. I also decided to try a different topcoat this time around ‘INM Out The Door’ and even though overall it worked decently well, I found that it did not dry the polish nearly as quickly as the Seche Vite I normally use, nor is the shine as brilliant.
